Security Guard

Overview of Position

The Security Guard monitors the Portland Dispensary, entrance, and parking lot, as well as members, staff, vendors, contractors, and any other visitors to the dispensary to maintain the safety and security of people and premises and guard against theft. This position reports to the Logistics and Security Manager. The successful candidate will possess a clean background check, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible schedule and willingness to assist with other duties as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to monitor activity in the Portland dispensary and parking lot by constant surveillance, helping dispensary staff, assist with controlling access to limited access areas in accordance with State Rules and Regulations, maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere, and actively monitoring physical security around the site.

This position may also perform other duties related to the successful operation of the Company as requested by the Logistics and Security Manager.

Operational Duties

  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of Portland dispensary and grounds
  • Patrol Portland dispensary parking lot with a keen level of attention to detail especially during times of high activity
  • Monitor video surveillance system
  • Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
  • In the event of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement
  • Adhere to all company operating standards
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations
